About Sarah
I have been teaching for over 14 years and have worked with students of all ages and experience levels. I believe there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all lesson plan—each student has unique goals, learning styles, and musical interests. My approach is highly individualized, designed to help every student grow with confidence while exploring repertoire that truly inspires them.
My musical journey began at Mt. San Antonio College, where in my very first semester I was honored to serve as Student Director of Concert Choir. I later joined the Chamber Choir and toured to compete in the Choir of the World in Magdeburg, Germany, earning a First Place medal in the Madrigal category. After completing my Associate's degree in Music, I transferred to the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach to pursue my Bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies. There, I was accepted into Pacific Standard Time (PST), the university's premier vocal jazz ensemble. During my undergraduate studies, I recorded a solo that earned me an Outstanding Soloist Award from DownBeat Magazine.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have performed at such a high level and to have learned from inspiring musicians and mentors. Teaching is one of my greatest joys, and I am passionate about passing that same enrichment, artistry, and inspiration on to my students.

What Clients Are Saying
"Sarah always brings an infectious, fun energy and tireless patience to her lessons. Even when I don't practice, she is able to use the lesson time to help me improve not just technically but also in conveying feeling through the medium of music. She promotes sharing music with others and provides multiple opportunities for her students to perform, from open mic nights, to retirement homes, to formal auditorium recitals. Sarah is also a talented musician in her own right and has a lovely singing voice."
